I dont want MS to die
I want them to make a good product. One that doesnt crash, or cause instability with NON-MS products. MS does a lot of things I agree with, such as funding Educational computer labs. MS give a lot to public schools, community colleges, and non-profits.

I like the Bill n Melinda Gates foundation. They give away billion every year to needy 3rd worlders in the form of education and vaccine money.

I dislike how MS does business in the computer world.

That being said, This will NOT affect MS' server side business as it currently stands. Anyone useing .NET will continue using .NET. It is likely they prefer running a MS shop, and bully for them.

However this is a very good thing for the rest of us who like to use 'nix based servers, and server side services. THis makes a good product better and will probably end up in a hybrid of the two products with excellent service.

HURRAY FOR RED HAT AND OPEN SOURCE!

The model is working! We are seeing Opensource creating a profit, while STILL adhering to the GPL! This is a great thing. IF MS had even half the service of most unix companies they would probably be a better company.

and FYI... if MS stopped selling windows TOMORROW, they would still be worth several Billion and generating profit. For those who dont pay attention, MS has it's hands in everything.

Granted the last thing I want to see is Microsoft Space Services... or MS airlines... :We're sorry we seemed to have had a crash".
