"If it is GPL it is opened up, free to use, but not free to steal and sell for your own profit. People do take whatever they want, the only thing they cannot do is sell it(as it is not theirs to sell). They can implement it into their own software and as long as they don't use the code they borrowed from the GPL licensed software, can sell it or write addons for it and sell them"
Hmmm.. So what you are saying it is ok to take something that someone else created, make some changes whether it be wording or adding one more step to the process, repackage as your own, and place it out there with a monetary value. Still sounds like stealing to me..
