I believe you have it ackbasswards...
I am actually more productive with Linux than MS anything. Try Open Office with it's auto complete in Documents, and then the ability to create a PDF on the fly with out installing Adobe Distiller (Mmmm $700.00 or there abouts... plus per seat license fees). Oh and here is another beautiful concept that Open Office adheres to! It's capable of running on multiple platforms so no matter what you are running for an OS, well hey you are able to move documents without the hassle!

And another thing, Open Office and Linux does not try to guess what I am doing and pester me with a ton of BS "help" that only slows me down because I have to turn it off (again, and again...) and then there is the fact that I can still be working on what ever while my system downloads, installs and configures any relevent patches (and those are only for software that I have installed!). I don't have issues with Open Office constantly reformatting my documents they way it thinks I should have them!

Spam? What is that? Really now. I have been thinking about it and in at least a year I have not recieved one piece of spam... is it my ISP? Or is it Linux? or maybe it's both? Virus? Nope no fear of that. Security... 5 layer security totally transparent. Auto phone home software? What is that?

So again how is it possible you can be more productive with an MS Windows system? You have to reboot every time you update virus definitions, or install a security patch. Ummm let's see, on a network... oh my let's talk about dog slow. Sorry I use a Linux Laptop next to a freshly installed WinXP (Oh and how I hate that piece of crap!) and even though the XP machine is faster (theoretically if you go by CPU cycles and RAM / IDE bus speeds) my SuSE 9.0 Pro keeps whipping the snot out of XP in everything except boot up times. And I am working on that now. Hell my MS apps load and run faster under emulation on my Linux laptop than on WinXP. Can you please explain this to me? And this is a professionally installed and maintained system. Meaning I am in a fortune 100 company with a full MS certified IT staff and my personal laptop which is slightly slower or had less horsepower, is faster and more reliable than a professionally supported system. And I am not certified in anything except C/C++, Java, Oracle and VB (yuck!). K bal is in your court!
