The article has it wrong
The article creates thw wrong impression. Linux does not have two different graphical interfaces. QT and GTK are graphics libraries that operate together on the same desktop. They are not dueling. They are working side by side. Gnome can run KDE software and KDE can run Gnome software. An X server written for Linux can run many different window managers. Where can you find that? You can pick the graphic interface that you like best. All of this is GOOD and WONDERFUL.
