My favorite is GNOME, but, I want applications to be compatible between
GNOME, KDE, and OTHER desktops. That way, my friends that use KDE are compatible with me. Choice with compatibility leads to lots of inovation. Imagine if different cars needed different roads and different gasoline - the Microsoft way.
