Microsoft can't really sue the company for trademark infringement since the domain is bogus

Microsoft can sue anybody for anything. And I think if Microsoft said, "Hey, we typed in www.mircosoft.com and you guys answered," they would have a pretty plausible claim that Verisign is using www.mircosoft.com whether it's registered or not.
