should be fairly easy to recognise the redirect (perhaps with a blacklist downloaded periodically), and then 404, or perhaps google for it instead (auto-strip the www and .com).


Actually the way around it is to run your own DNS server. When Verisign pulled this stunt back in the Fall, the BIND people rushed out a patch to restore DNS sanity. If you can't do that, you can lobby your ISP to upgrade their BIND servers, or possibly find some anti-Sitefinder public DNS servers.

I don't know. I run my own and it's patched. What you're suggesting seems like an awful lot of work!
