VeriSign sues ICANN to restore Site Finder

Not only that: Let say I want to start a service similar to SiteFinder...what should I do?
First I need to go and BUY all the misspellings that I think are worth it and then put up an alternative page with ads and optional links.
Now, it seems to me that VeriSign is abusing its position as the .com and .net administrator for a different business.
How would I ever be able to compete with VeriSign?
