What version(s) of NT are you running?

It seems very likely that NT proceses think they are the only one on the machine based on the sluggish performance and lack of stability I have seen on anything besides W2k3. And the OS only seems to survive these problems on W2k3 with any consistency. XP, W2k and NT <5 sometimes can't survive even normal startup much less illegal system calls or attempts to access "protected" memory.
