Bush DOJ = Microsoft's Interest
Microsoft is pushing Bush DOJ to block.

Bush DOJ lets Microsoft off with a slap on the wrist letting the monopoly do business as usual but says it is concerned for competition for others who are not monopolies.

Microsoft wants help from Bush DOJ to protect its monopoly and help from Bush DOJ to facilitate entry into other business such as this one at the same time.

There is no competitive problem with Oracle merging with PeopleSoft. After the merge, there will still be at least Siebel, Oracle-PeopleSoft, and Microsoft in the game but Microsoft will be in an extremely difficult position. But it is not the job of Bush DOJ to facilitate the monopoly Microsoft's business while leaving the monopoly intact.

Looking at the PC processor market for instance, there are Intel, AMD, and Cyrix. The Bush DOJ did not object to that. So what is wrong with Siebel, Oracle, and Microsoft along with others for this kind of market?

Ex-Microsoft employee currently working at the White House for Bush as 'IT advisor' on the order of Microsoft is pushing the Bush DOJ to block the merge.
