Bzzt, wrongo - try again
Every piece of hardware and software at Company "F" is "certified". IOW, things like drivers and firmware are controlled, to minimize potential support headaches. We got in trouble in the past with always going with the "next, best thing", and ending up with too many variations to support. A pre-assembled virtual machine would need to have "certified" software, to avoid the differences between buying a package today, and another one 6 months from now - with different driver sets.

This looks like another one of those faster/cheaper sales pitches - when what you NEED is consistency.
