einsteintech you are wrong
einsteintehc you are wrong!

Imagine you buy a car from GM. The motor is under the hood but GM do not gives the key to you. You can just use the car. GM do not disclosure how the car works neither to the consumers nor to industry. So, nobody can produce neither replacement parts nor accessories. Just GM can produce parts and accessories for your car and you are forced to buy from them. No concurrence. Just a big monopoly.

According to your theory, that's fine.

The problem is that people do not think about software as a good or service, so the companies do what they want, including selling software without manuals.

When you buy something that something belongs to you, not to microsoft or apple.

would you like to buy a car and not being able to borrow your car to your friend due to DRM issues? What about fueling your car with a kind of gas that do not allows you to trip outside the state you live?

according to your theory everything is fine.

companies like microsoft are arrogant, that's why they are so hated and that's why they will never be cool and trusted by the users.

that's why they must be stopped of doing such things.
