Not impressed since the CLI is not .NET. The part people miss is that there are hordes of Java open source implmentations out there BUT they do not consist of the class libraries which are required to make it truly worthwhile. The .NET is the same way. The Mono project had to write all the .NET libraries from scratch. Their efforts are good but Microsoft could close Mono down tommorow since they are copying a copyrighted design. The CLI is the only part of the framework Microsoft submitted to the standards board!
