But...
...how can Microsoft "play fair" with others if it doesn't play? People suspect Microsoft's motives in participating, while at the same time criticizing it for not participating. So which should it be?

How can MS prove its intentions if it doesn't participate? Could MS realistically hijack the entire committee and derail OpenDoc?
