Absolutely right, but
It will take a while before everything is really web-centric, though it is pretty darned close. Here's a question; if we could really use ajax apps for everything (if they were available for EVERY thing I do) and I used a flash drive or net storage for files, can't I roll back the hardware requirements of the desktop box? Thin client with anorexia, almost. Very non-Vista, eh?
MS better get it in gear, or they will shrink more than I thought just a minute ago. XBox may become their biggest product.
