Not all patching is difficult

"patching software flaws is still far too difficult,"

Yes, patching Windows operating systems is too difficult,
because MS has chosen to link OS and apps to the point that it is
impossible to modify one part without breaking another.

Unix style operating systems are modular. When a problem is
found it is much easier to fix. And if history is any indication
much quicker. Applying most Linux patches don't even require
taking the system offline. Install patch, restart service, and its
miller time.

Microsoft is a victim of their own features, but they don't seem
to realize it.

Even their tv advertising brags it's better with the "bug"
