agreed....and not just losing high end jobs
When was the last time you saw teen agers working at McDonalds, Burger King and other entry level jobs? Now you find those jobs traditionally manned by our kids going to grownups with sketchy linguistic skills in English. We will soon be a country of Lawyers and Walmart greeters. No manufacturing capability. No textile industry. No good jobs, and no chance of home ownership, unless it is a manufactured home. The economists do not recognize the danger of the manufacturing capability going away, and need to recalibrate their models for that, and see how strong we will be for the long term, when we are no longer a country of people capable of making things. How much worth will we have as a market, when noone can afford to go to the market?
