Foodnote in Shameful Scandal
As a former Android, I can speak with authority here. Anderson Consulting was just being formulated when I bolted from the company. A partner named Lemon, no kidding, and I discussed the future of the company and jointly determined it was not the place for an honest consultant. I moved to a company called Executive Consulting shortly there after.

I remember distictly telling Lemon "Good Luck" and his cocky damn the torpedos full steam ahead approach.

Consider the possiblity that Andersen Consulting was formed as a mechanism of wealth protection. There was already recognition that Arthur Anderson had significant liabilities from shoddy audits when I left the firm. This is why those of us in IT were anxious.

You will find my name in the 1998 Arthur Andersen Alumni directory. I left on the best possible terms for one who observed things he did not think correct but honored the code (what is discussed behind the doors of Arther Andersen stays behind the doors of Arther Anderson). How criminal that code now appears.

The bad mark of working for Anderson will follow me forever. It truly is a shameful scandal. But - you will likely find that the hall of shame still exists at Accenture. Take a look at how much of the management came from the old Andersen Consulting and Arther Andersen. Its a study that needs doing.

Ballmer's position on the board for 4 years too many is a good example. You find corruption everywhere. Our duty as US citizens is to learn how to spot that corruption and report it in a professional way. Along those lines.

The Seattle papers had news of Gate's visiting Microsoft's lobbying branch, which I assume is Abramoff's Preston Gates and Ellis, in Washington DC and meeting with government officials to get Stanford-trained Indian computer scientists E1B visas.

Both Andersen Consulting and Microsoft like to get young employees and foreign employees that have not been poluted by ethical values held dear by true US citizens.

Lets see the Stanford trained educated in US citizenship, perhaps even gain citizenship prior to letting them work on government contracts. I see little future for Accenture in the 30 to 40 percent of the consulting business which is government related, because I suspect, from my alumni status, that virgins in ethics are still highly prized.
