Company: So your interested in heading up our software development?
Applicant: Absolutley, let me tell you what I have in mind.
Company: I am sure you have great ideas but let me explain the situation. First and foremost, Sun is a hardware company, NOT a software company. Any budgets will of course reflect this. Second, the software we do create we are giving away through open source. Obviously that means you have to give the 15 year old open source geeks all the attention they want. And finally, you must find a way of doing this that is profitable to the company. So, how do your ideas fit in with this?
