There's a neat twist to the whole "marketshare" issue (I liked your quote marks there, we've done the whole marketshare thing to death anyway)
I see your point, and agree. Just like Firefox when they were getting past 5%, and people were coming unglued over it being the end of IE. It's not about ending the other stuff, it's about getting more for your own, and more is very relative; 10% marketshare would be almost 200% of Apple's present chunk of the pie (in big round non-accurate numbers). Sounds like good business to me; though I still wish Steve had gone AMD instead of Intel, and then dropped the prices to my own personal price point.
I mean, the AMD zealots are as opinionated as any Mac zealot I ever heard, and they are both underdogs with "better" stuff to sell; difference is AMD is better and cheaper. Yeah, I'm an AMD zealot at heart, Windows is just a time consuming hobby.
