how does a business built around Linux firing the person who created the business make Linus, Linux and the Linux community look like idiots?

If the car industry fired Henry Ford, would you say that cars were rediculous?

One Linux company firing the creator of the company, for whatever reasons (in this case, the section he was working in was not profitable) will not bring down the rest of Linux (or even the company).
