What Ever Happened To FREE Linux?

I thought the whole point of open source (i.e. Linux) was to make it available to the masses?for FREE?

Then all of a sudden someone at Mandrake, and others, realized (just like Bill Gate$) that if you started charging money for this thing, that (certain) people could get bloody rich. Gee...can you spell C-A-P-I-T-O-L-I-S-M?

Suck it up kids...once somebody figures out that there are millions to be made...even the most socially conscience person in the world will have second thoughts...even when it comes to the All Mighty Linux.
