Java rather than linux...
Ok, using a LANGUAGE (java) vs using an OPERATING SYSTEM
(linux)

Last time I checked, there were a number of JVMS available for
linux.

I have deployed java apps on linux servers.

So I'm curious why you thing someone would use Java instead of
linux when they are completely different beasts....
