- I see you are not as educated as you pretend not everyone has Fiber optics in the ground and the phone lines and distance DSL can run have there limitations. 3 miles from a telco substation there are many more people outside that range that would love to have broadband I know I live close to a telco substation and there are people around me that can not receive DSL because they are just outside the envelope of the DSL range. There are many that would benefit from BPL. Only those that live in the Range of DSL say it is the way to go. I love my DSL but I do not begrudge others that can not get it because of phone lines and range limitations.
