What about the leverage it gives other countries?
If you live in the United States, shouldn't you be a little concerned if open source destroys MS and all proprietary U.S. companies? What if other countries then, that already use Linux, start to gain backing around the rest of the world on standards and run away with that. Can you see how that could put a big hurt on the U.S. economy and even national security. It's then not who can sell the most ad space, which by the way is going to blow this all apart. Nobody is going to stand very long for ad based model being ubiquitous in the workplace. Also, I believe Google is a total sellout. Their explanation for the China deal doesn't hold water. If you truely believe in something enough to state it as basically something you would fight for to the end, but then fold to it for revenue and basically create false links and thereby breaking some kind of international law? How can a company deliberately divert a web request to an incorrect page and it be legal? How can they do so and it be ethical at the very least. They can't and they are not. I'm having trouble finding an MS maneuver that matches up with that one. Sorry, that was off point.

Don't forget, MS will be going all out to make at least a small percentage  DonnieBoy | 03/13/06
And, Googles biggest problem is figuring out how to keep MS from leveraging  DonnieBoy | 03/13/06
What about the leverage it gives other countries?  April May | 03/13/06
Here in the US, we compete fair and square. No special treatment.  DonnieBoy | 03/13/06
