Prepare for the "development"
Why all of these "developers"? So they can set up the value-added "web services" that most of us currently receive for free, or from 3rd parties.

Are these numerous applications being developed because there will be few, if any, functional 3rd party applications for longhorn?

Longhorn will, most likely, be the first M$ platform with an expiring EULA. Are it's users going to be nickled and dimed monthly for any "web services" they use in addition to the OS end-of-term tax, and growing ISP fees?

If these "developers" intend to charge for every tiny prog, the whole .net initiative WILL fail because consumers don't want to pay separate monthly fees for every tiny application on their box.

Sorry folks.
