SAP Mendocino

Yes, sure. Project Mendocino seems very exciting. As per Shai Aggasi in Honover (CEBIT 2006) today, Microsoft based frontend to SAP really seems to be the direction. So much so that it looks like if the technology 'evangelist' for SAP has his way, the user does not even need to know that SAP exists. That's quite a change in strategy - to concede that SAP's usability leaves much to be desired. He says that for foreseeable future, Microsoft Office is the way to go, and that brings Mendocinointo sharp focus.
There's not much news on how Mendocino testing is proceeding. Looks like its under some strict NDA. Much of the details of Mendocino can be seen at http://www.sapmendocino.com
