BSD plays its part.
Actually, the case with BSD also plays a part in SCO's case. One of SCO's issues is that Linux uses parts of BSD, and it doesn't show the proper copyrights and headers (or something similar) like BSD was told to do in its settlement with AT&T... or Bell Labs... Anyway, the part they don't seem to get is the settlement terms only affect the involved parties. Which Linux, Microsoft, and whoever uses BSD code isn't part of.

If SCO can't reopen BSD's case and somehow involve third parties into the settlement (Linux, MS, Mac...), they lose a big chunk of their argument.

If SCO does somehow open BSD's case, then other possibilites like those previously stated could come into play.

Oh and the GPL can lick my nut sack.

Was this really necessary? All it did was undermine your post.
