You are saying closed source inherently can access other closed source? huh?
Read more. They are not closing the source for reasons a good linux user would hope. It's profit driven. I'm just repeating but the Snort story is playing out all through the open source community. It's common to find mixed source systems not due to "good" practices, but to get the VC funding needed to make a go of it. They will not back a services only model. At some point there seems a backlash is unavoidable if this continues. That is all i'm saying. I don't find anything wrong with linux really, it's just teh attitudes of the many zealots that taint it and give it a bad name. Open source does not equal open mind in most cases.
