You're a dumba... i mean, customer
"start trying to find tools to be productive with"

Many distros install them by default (e.g. OpenOffice.org, Kmail or Evolution, GIMP, etc.). With Windows you have to buy another box to get the tools you need to be productive. With Linux the tools are in the same box.

"find they are all flawed"

Give me five examples of Linux programs that are flawed, and why they are flawed.

"customer calls for support (after realizing they have no phone line)"

Red Hat, Novell, Mandriva, etc. All companies I can phone if i have a problem with their distros.

"realized the "company" has tanked"

Has Red Hat "tanked"? How about Novell/SuSE? Mandriva?

"spend 50 times what Windows cost"

Well, seeing as they paid practically nothing to buy the distro they're using, they'd have the money anyway.

"gob of goopy spaghetti code"

Are you a programmer? Have you examined the code used in Linux and it's programs?
