Vista updates?
I got XP to update last night, even though all I wanted was the new signatures for Defender B2.

Now my PC is totaly fubar. I'll need to wipe the hard drive and start over from scratch, or try my backups. At least it will give me a chance to do something I've been wanting to do for some time: Reinstall 98SE. It may be as "advanced" as XP, but 98's updated didn't deliberately cripple my PC.

I hate to think what Vista's "updates" will be like. First one scrambles the admin password so not even the admin can logon. Next one reformats all the hard drives into an 8-bit FAT format. silly

Thanks but no thanks. I'll skip this "upgrade" and stick with what works for me.
