Why does it matter?
First, law enforcement doesn't need to "hack" into your computer to obtain information off of it. They don't even have to turn the computer on to retrieve the data from it. In fact it's forensic practice to NOT turn the computer on. It would also be illegal without a warrant for them to use a backdoor to get into your computer, and while that won't stop them, they can't use it in court if it's illegally acquired. So a backdoor is not only unnecessary for their data acquisition process but also would create unnecessary risk to their investigation. Not to mention also the fact that if you are committing crimes, you should pay the price.

If you aren't committing crimes, then what do have you to worry about? Do you really think the government cares who you have crushes on in your 3rd period high school class?

They have other things to waste their money on?

There are plenty of exploits out for all flavors of OS. Linux is natively more secure, it's the applications that run on top of it that provide the holes (Apache). Windows just so happens to include everything with it's finished installation which, as internet connectivity is popular, allow for more holes. Not defending quality by any means, I think they are responsible for their software?s flaws and wish they would spend more time securing and optimizing their software. I'm just defending reality and how often the view of reality can be skewed by personal bias and acceptance of global generalizations.
