How many "top secret" clearance jobs will be contracted out to third-party companies that don't always perform the proper screenings of their employees?

I have already seen what contracting out work in the defense sector does: lower-caliber employees, high turnover, and the long-term cost is actually higher. There is also the problem with contractors not being able to handle the demands of a job and skipping out in the middle of the night without notice, leaving 100s or 1000s without paychecks or any of the promised benefits. 401(K) accounts turn out to be non-existant, money paid for insurance was diverted, the contractor misreported wages for unemployment purposes, etc., etc., etc..

Outsourcing will kill us in the long run because once you train off-shore workers to do what we do, they won't want our stuff. They'll develop and make it themselves. Then we'll become the mudhut people working for $.12/hr.
