Bad Joke of a Price Sx
Since 3.1 was released, Microsoft has slowed down it's output of each new OS. The distance between XP and Vista-nearly 6 years-is a record. No matter, there has been a clear ramping-up of costs, but not value. They bloat each new version with more stuff, but the majority of it isnt too useful. They make sure it pays the bills, however.
Consider this: A private individual who wants only to upgrade from XP Pro and Office 2003 Pro will pay just under $1,000 for the "honor" of owning in the case of Vista, not complete and buggy software.
("Sigh") It's a tough market and Bill has to send the "Gates-Bot" to a good college. Unfortunatly, the costs have gotten out of control. That does not impact the average cyber-Joe too well.
