Where's mine? (Go Get It)
"God knows I'd love to be able to live on the edge of the means you describe!"

You can.
(And my van's only 11 years old.)
I've known class-mates worse off. And in your situation, you qualify for a number of tuition aid programs. So it will possibly cost nothing other than time, commitment, gas, and maybe a sitter (unless you can get one for free). Simply do it. Do it 1 class at a time.
When I started school, I only had a 20-hour a week job paying minimum wage ($3.35). I had an apartment, not a house (you are lucky), but waited until after an Associate's degree to have my first kid.
Ask yourself what is really stopping you.
