That's actually not true
People don't hate American's. Only vocal minority are noticed. Take Canada for example. Every time one person says an anti-US comment I could point out 100 people who feel the exact opposite. Just vocal morons that spout of this anti-US stuff get the press because it makes headlines especially when that person works for the Prime Minister.

Also don't mistake indiffernce to the US and they don't like US. That's really how most people feel. They have thier own problems to worry about and really don't want to worry about terrorist attacking the US.
