Obviously you've never had to support a family. Only someone who has never tried to raise a family of four on $12k - $13k a year would make a statement such as this.

College is a major commitment of time which becomes hard to justify when you have children at home that want to eat, need clothes and shoes every six months, and would like a roof, running water, and heat. Most of the people complaining about their positions being taken have commitments to family, are buying homes, paying for cars, paying credit card debt and the other normal bills that come from being adult. That statement shows how little you understand the responsibility of taking care of a family.
