well I think you have a point there.
However, antitrust was created to deal with this kind of situation, to enable the growth and flourishing of alternatives. Alternatives make us all happy and make us strong.

In any case:
All the big corporations I've heard about all eventually slow down and start dying, and get overtaken by others. This is all part of our system.
No serious investor is as loyal as staff, Investors spread their risk over all competitors.
Personally I foresee PCs losing out to other technologies like Mobile phones, web/media-pads (like Sony PSP), and Media Centres (like PS3/MacMini will become). Xbox360 will eventually be forced to lose it's ties to media centre PC, and just be useful in it's own right, but it might already be too late for the Xbox360.
