He said that he was prevented from working at his full technical capacity. That's quite different from not having the technical ability to use Windows.

Besides that, if a geek can't "use Windows", what chance does the average user have?

I once transferred a bunch of date residing on a Mandrake Linux server to a Gentoo Box. It took about 15 minutes for the data to transfer.

A few weeks later, I transferred that same information to a Windows 2003 server. It took 1 hour. The Windows Server was not able to handle the incoming data fast enough.

The specs you say? Gentoo: AMD K2-350 with and old 8GB or 10GB IDE hd, 256MB of memory. The Windows 2003 Server: P4-2.4GB, 2 63GB SCSI drives, 2 GB of memory. (No unnecessary services running).

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.
