Commercial licensing is no problem
Oracle/Innobase can still cough up commercial licenses, that's no problem. They make cash on that. It's the "open source" licensees that will suffer. As the owner of the code base, Oracle/Innobase can "fork" their own code base, put the good stuff into the commercial engine, and let the GPL'ed engine stagnate.

They can't take the GPL'ed source back. But they don't have to enhance it anymore either.
