Leadership challenged
Times change, XP was launched too many years ago. It's old and outdated already.

People just think you're sitting back and doing nothing at the moment. You must appear being dynamically involved in the IT world. You can't wait for longhorn, it will take to much time and people want to see something different every once in a while. You have to think of something better. Giving people test versions of longhorn would be a nice cookie to keep them occupied, your rep thinks it's ready for that already? Your .net infrastructure is at risk here, it might not survive if most people within your organisation are not aggressively mislead.
