Not too long ago....
I remember a lot of people (even right here on zdnet) crying about having to "test" a beta version of windows. Noone liked the idea of MS releasing an unsupported beta version to the public. Everyone got sick of bugs, complained about installation problems, not to mention uninstallation problems later.

My take has been that a number of these same folks have since then moved to linux in it's various forms.

How come these same folks are now applauding the same deal from the linux world? Isn't everyone now suddenly rushing to get these latest and greatest kernels on every PC? And more importantly, is anyone out there feeling like a hypocrite yet?
