Or Debian or Fedora = 0 payments of $0
"both of the above provide 7 years of support, which is
cheaper"

What is the cost to your business for the downtime as you
reboot windows after patching? What was the cost of the
200 days it costed to fix and ASN.1 unchecked buffer? What
is the cost of a MSCE looking after 10 servers, or a *nix
admin supporting hundreds? What if you had 50 users
instead of 5 (ie had to buy additional Cals for windows)?

I'm not saying that Red Hat is cheaper, but it is too
simplistic to just compare the Windows license cost with
the Red Hat subscription price. If that was the case you
should be using a community support Linux distribution
such as Debian or Fedora. You can get these for nothing!
