File-swapping lawsuits loom in Canada

RIAA Lawyers?: The average suit that the RIAA settled produced an average of
$3000 in damages. I am willing to bet that in each case, the
RIAA's lawyers cost more than that to go through the process in
each case. I have no doubt that the RIAA didn't actually make
money back by suing people. Instead, the motivation must be to
make examples of file-swappers in order to create deterrent for
others.
