Castrate the file swappers if you want, that won't stop the changes.
The biggest change is that record companies will get cut out of the loop and artists can go directly to the people. Nobody would have a problem paying a small amount for downloads, especially if they knew it went directly to the artists. The artists would still retain all rights for other comercial uses. Notice I said artist, not some record company exec. This is a last gasp effert to save the industry as they know it. It will fail.
