If it wasn't for windows
most of you here wouldn't (or couldn't) own a PC.
No one is trying to emulate Xerox as they are not the company that greaw the PC world. It was MS. THEY are the ones all else are trying to copy.
And actually, Burroughs corp created the initial prototype, clueless_wolf, which was given to Xerox as they had no idea of what they had, or waht it would become. Xerox tinkered with it and used it as their company diretory in the lobby.
