Thanks Sun, and watch out!
Sun deserves much thanks for Open Office. I use it exclusively and love it. Thanks Scott and Sun!

A word of warning.
MS seeks to supplant Java with C# and .Net through Longhorn. The only way to fend them off is to proliferate Java technology. The only realistic way to do this is with an OSS lisence of some sort.

With Open Office and the user freindly Java Desktop System (built on SuSE) Sun is already a respected OSS force and Open sourcing Java would put them in a unique position to realize much success in the rapidly growing OSS World.
