Unfortunately that can't be done
The only thing I wish they had done differently was to not single IBM out and offer a blanket policy statement absolving everyone...

One cannot absolve people or organizations for events that have not yet occurred. This isn't just a definitional problem (ie: I'm not picking on your grammar), but a legal one. The legal system is not the Christian sectarian church, wherein God can absolve all past and future sins through one act of contrition. Rather one needs a direct act, or the accusation of a direct act, to waive and forgive the act. Put another way: would you forgive a person for stealing your TV before they enterred your home.
