Why hasn't anyone asked ...
why NONE of the former owners of Unixware have come to SCO's defense. Doesn't anyone see this as a little strange? Certainly they knew just what it was they owned, yet not one of them is ready to vouch for SCO's interpretation of what SCO thinks they own. And Novell, in fact, has stridently disputed SCO's claims. This will not look good in a court of law.

Convoluted and contridictory contracts almost inevitably result in a judgement for the defendant. In light of all of this, it is truly amazing that some people still are hanging on to SCO stock in expectation of some sort of miracle. Next to no one in IT believes SCO's claims. In the end this will go down as one of the most elaborate scams in history.

SCO paid $35 million dollars for Unixware. Its that simple. Their purchase did not include control of the whole Unix universe. And that is why they paid millions for it and not billions. They are simply attempting to use the press and the legal system to bully as many people out of their money as they can. Hopefully they (along with Darl personally AND the Canopy Group) are sued into oblivian when this thing all self destructs.
