I prefer to trust Microsoft to be Microsoft. They have demonstrated that they are out to control everything and that laws are useful only when the law supports them. Otherwise it is to be ignored. Granted, it cost them a lot of money to buy permission to continue their restraint of trade agreementswith OEMs, but it is now allowed by their absolution, oops, settlement, by/with the DOJ.

Remember they were convicted and the convictions were upheld on appeal. Only the punishment was remanded to the trial court for re-examination.
